👥 ADHD & Connection: Improving Communication Through Evidence-Based Treatment
ADHDKC Adult Group August Event
ADHD & Connection: Improving Communication Through Evidence-Based Treatment
Date: Sunday, August 3, 2025
Time: 2:00–4:00 PM
Location: Lenexa Public Library – Conference Room 3 (8778 Penrose Ln, Lenexa, KS 66219)
This August the ADHDKC Adult Group will be diving into a topic that affects so many adults with ADHD: relationships. Whether it’s romantic partnerships, family dynamics, or friendships, ADHD can make communication a challenge.
Together we’ll explore:
🧠 How ADHD affects connection and communication
🛠️ Tools from CBT, DBT, and other therapies
💊 How medication can improve relationship dynamics
❤️ Real strategies for better understanding and to foster relationships
The ADHDKC Adult Group is open to adults with ADHD and their partners. Moderators Nic and Abby will guide the discussion, which includes a short talk followed by open discussion and sharing.
An RSVP is required and seats are limited. If you’re bringing your partner, make sure you each sign up separately so there’s a seat for each of you!
🔔 Please Note: We’re here to share personal stories and strategies, not provide treatment recommendations. This group is facilitated by a licensed mental health professional to provide guidance, structure, and support in a safe and respectful environment. While the group offers opportunities for sharing experiences and learning from peers, it is not a substitute for individualized therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.
