ADHDKC is striving to help the entire KC Metro navigate ADHD successfully. We’re working to grow in new ways and have some exciting updates for our locations and even meeting registrations.
We’re excited to use ADHDKC.org in new ways and we think you’ll like it too!
New Events scheduling system
We’re moving our Events registration to the website rather than this newsletter.
All meetings are now found on our new Events Page.
We think you’ll find it to be very user-friendly. You’ll be able to add events to your calendar and the system is automated so you no longer will have to wait for us to send a message with registration details. After registration, you’ll get an email with a link to add it directly to your calendar. Look for the email and add it to your calendar so you never miss a meeting!
You’ll get a reminder 3 days before the event sent by email.
Join the page to have access to event more!
Anyone can RSVP for an Event, but if you subscribe to our website, you’ll get so much more! We encourage you to make an account on our website to have access to all of the new features.
Find the log in button next to the Groups tab and log in. Choose the My Account tab to have access to the Member Center.
In the Member Center
You can use the “Events” tab to see all the Upcoming and Past Events for which you’ve registered.
Use the “Settings” tab to choose when and how you want to be notified.
If you want to be notified of New Events, be sure to turn that on and you’ll be notified every time a new event is added.
If you want to be notified when a past meeting recording is added, be sure to subscribe to the blog!
The “Notifications” tab has all your notifications, so you can always take a look if you’re logged into the site.
Since our events are free, you should not use the “My Wallet” tab.
New online groups!
We’ve had many requests to offer private online groups to continue conversations between events and we’re now able to offer this on our website, so those who have given up all the social media sites can gather in one safe(r) place.
We can chat about upcoming Events and general ADHD topics outside of Events, but please remember to not include anything too personal, especially if it is about a minor or in the teen group.
Please write comments without any names or identifying information - even a “my child” can identify a minor, so make statements about children in general, not your child. Ask questions that are broad, not a specific situation.
We will moderate the groups and remove comments that are deemed inappropriate. Members who do not abide by our rules will be removed.
Remember to keep the spaces uplifting, encouraging and educational with evidence-based information!
Find and join the group(s) that interest you on our new Groups page.
We will continue to use Facebook and Instagram Pages to share information and Events, but any Facebook Groups that have been used will be transferred to our Groups.
What will the Substack newsletter be used for?
We’ll still send out general newsletters to all subscribers here about once a month for general updates.
The special events will still be available on Substack.
We will continue to offer recordings of past meetings on Substack since it publishes to our podcast, and YouTube channel.
