Building independence in children with ADHD can feel like a constant battle against reminders and power struggles. But what if we told you there was a way to support your child’s growth in a way that empowers both you and them?
Join Becky Bowe from FitLearningKC for a transformative online session. She’ll explore how parents can intentionally scaffold executive function skills — like planning, task initiation, and follow-through — in their ADHD kids.
In this session, you'll gain practical tools and actionable strategies to foster independence without constant nagging or frustration, including:
How to support your child’s executive function development at home.
Simple and effective tools to help with planning, time management, and staying on task.
How to avoid the cycle of power struggles by using scaffolding techniques.
How checklists, prompts, and other strategies can create lasting results.
This Parent Group Event is designed to leave you feeling more empowered and less exhausted as a parent. Walk away with strategies you can immediately implement to help your ADHD learner become more independent in their day-to-day life.

A Request to Our Community
Our volunteer speakers generously give their time, energy, and expertise to support our ADHDKC community. Your presence truly matters.
When you attend our live online events, you not only gain valuable insight and information, but you also have the opportunity to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussion, and show appreciation for our speakers’ hard work.
We understand that life is busy, but we kindly ask that you only RSVP if you genuinely plan to attend live. If your availability changes, please update your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
When only a small number of those who RSVP actually attend, it can be disheartening for our volunteer speakers, who often spend many hours preparing to serve our community. In cases where live attendance is very low, we may need to reschedule the event out of respect for their time and effort.
If a session is being recorded, we will make it available afterward via our website, YouTube channel, and newsletter — but live attendance remains vital to the energy and success of these events.
Thank you for helping us create a vibrant, respectful, and engaged community. Your presence makes a difference! Ask a friend to sign up too — many of us can use some advice!
