Spring schedules can be overwhelming, so ADHDKC Women’s Group will be taking May off—but we’re excited to reconnect in June for another supportive and empowering gathering.
Many women with ADHD face unique challenges in the workplace, from managing executive functioning demands to navigating disclosure, self-advocacy, and the emotional complexity of requesting support.
While understanding workplace rights and ADA accommodations is important, real life is often far more complicated.
Questions many women face include:
How do I ask for accommodations without fear of judgment?
What if my workplace culture feels unsupportive?
How do I balance self-advocacy with professional expectations?
What happens when accommodations don’t fully solve the problem?
How do I manage the emotional toll of masking, burnout, or feeling misunderstood?
Join Us for Honest Conversation and Meaningful Connection
In this month’s group, we’ll build on previous discussions of ADA accommodations and focus on the lived experience of:
Requesting workplace accommodations
Negotiating support needs
Using accommodations successfully in daily work life
Navigating emotional and practical barriers
Learning from shared experiences
Building confidence through community support
This discussion is centered on real-world strategies, personal experiences, and supportive peer connection for ADHD women.
