Why We Struggle with Impulse Control (And Why It’s Not Your Fault)
If you’ve ever:
Interrupted because you thought you’d forget what you wanted to say
Said something and instantly wished you hadn’t
Felt like your brain moves faster than your ability to stop it
Been told to “just think before you act”
You’re not alone—and you’re not doing anything wrong.
This session explains how ADHD affects impulse control in teens and what you can do about it.
What Tweens and Teens Will Learn About Impulse Control and ADHD
This interactive ADHD teen event will teach:
Why your brain sends an “urgency signal”
How movement and impulsivity are connected
What’s happening between the urge → pause → action
How to strengthen executive function skills in real time
Practical ADHD Impulse Control Strategies for Tweens and Teens
Participants won’t just listen—they’ll actively practice tools they can use right away:
How to pause without losing your thought
What to do instead of interrupting
How to manage restlessness and the need to move
Strategies that work in school, at home, and with friends
ADHD Skills: Build Control Without Losing Your Personality
This isn’t about stopping behavior. It’s about replacing it with something that works better. Because ADHD doesn’t mean no control — it means learning the right tools for your brain.
Participants will leave with simple, realistic strategies to manage impulsivity while still being themselves.
