Meet the ADHDKC Professional Advisory Board
This month we celebrate Jeremy Didier as our highlighted board member. Jeremy is the founder and co-coordinator of ADHDKC and the newly elected CHADD President. She is passionate about helping families with ADHD thrive and she is the reason ADHDKC is the strong CHADD chapter it is today.
Jeremy has extensive experience working with children, parents, and adults with ADHD in both her personal life and as an ICF/JST/ADDCA-certified ADHD coach with ImpactParents. She currently provides assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic services for adults with ADHD at the Jordan Psychological Center.
Prior to being elected president of CHADD’s board of directors, Jeremy served on the board in many capacities: as secretary, as co-chair of both the chapter advisory board and the governance committee, and as a volunteer leadership trainer and chapter mentor.
Many of you have been able to learn at one of Jeremy’s many local talks, such as ADHD and Addiction, but did you know that she is a nationally recognized speaker, writer, and a frequent contributor to national media outlets such as the Washington Post and NBC Nightly News? (She’s one of our January speakers… it’s a great month to join us online!)
Despite being fabulous in all of the above-mentioned endeavors, her favorite job is being mom to five fabulous kids.
January Parent Group Event
Our own Jeremy Didier, LMSW, LMAC, PCAC; and Jane Indergaard, DPN, RN; will lead our January parent event. This nationally recognized duo has given talks on a variety of topics across the US, always to wide acclaim. It’s sure to be a great talk!
When: January 9, 2024, at 7 PM
Where: Online
The sibling relationship is one of the most intense and long-term relationships in one’s life. Those who study family dynamics and psychology emphasize the sibling relationship as an important context for learning and development. Furthermore, the well-documented stresses, challenges, disruptions, and emotions in a household with ADHD impact the lived experience and adjustment of everyone in it. As a result, both parents and siblings have unique support needs. However, when parents are submerged in the daunting tasks of supporting their child with ADHD, they can become engulfed in that single focus, while the needs of their child’s siblings may potentially be eclipsed.
Join us this January to learn how to support your neurotypical child(ren) and to address the needs of the whole family while parenting your neurodiverse child(ren).

Adult’s Group
Our Adult’s Group is a small discussion and support group that meets monthly.
January’s group will talk about tips, tricks, and brain hacks to try in the New Year.
Learn more about the group and sign up from the Adult’s Group Page.
ADHDKCTeen for middle & high school students
The ADHDKCTeen January event will be January 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM CST online. (This is NOT the 1st Tuesday of the month due to the holiday.)
Emotional regulation refers to the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's emotions. For many adolescents it is difficult to maintain control when triggered or in a stressful situation. We'll talk about ways to develop skills to regulate emotions at this January meeting.
