Parenting is hard. Parenting kids with ADHD adds additional challenges. We're here to help.
Our Parent’s group alternates between meeting online only and meeting both online and at various KC Metro locations. All events are open to the public and free. Speakers are local professional volunteers or nationally known experts and vary monthly.
August: Strategies vs Willpower - tackling executive dysfunction
The phenomenon of Executive Brain Dysfunction is not limited to those adults and children with ADHD, but it can absolutely intensify and worsen the dysfunction.
Life Skills Coach Leila Lawson will discuss how Executive Dysfunction affects children in normal daily tasks and ways to recognize it as well as how to use effective means to help kids live their best life.

About the speaker:
Leila is a Sergeant with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. She has 14 years of experience and is a certified member of their Peer Support Team and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) assisting individuals who are living with mental illnesses. Leila also serves as an advisor for Minnesota State University Women in Leadership and is a member of the Safety Committee with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City. She is credentialed as a professional certified life coach with advanced training in life coaching certified and endorsed by Transformation Academy.
